Nowadays, the Tanzania-China economic cooperation is of unprecedented scale and reaches all fields. By the end of 2014, Chinese investment to Tanzania reached US$ 4 billion. More than 500 Chinese companies invested in Tanzania, created at least 150,000 jobs and there are about 300,000 people engaged in the work related with China-Tanzania bilateral trade.
In the vigorous bilateral economic and trade cooperation, a large number of employees from Tanzania and China have made outstanding achievements. They love and cherish their jobs and enjoy personal progress along with the Chinese companies’ development.
Some of them have been working in Chinese companies for 10 to 20 years, some even 30 years. Some of them regard Chinese company as their home and the whole family work and move with the projects.
In some Tanzania families, children dreamed to work for Chinese companies as what their parents do. The employees working in Chinese companies not only obtained knowledge and techniques but also enjoyed life quality improvement. Many of them have become technical backbone or senior management personnel of Chinese companies and are undertaking the responsibility of training other local staffs.
They are playing an important role to the Tanzania-China economic cooperation. The Embassy of China in Tanzania hopes that everyone could learn from the award winners and produce positive energy to push forward the process of Tanzania-China economic cooperation, industrial tie-in and capacity relocation. Let’s carry on and disseminate Tanzania-China Friendship, engage in and promote our economic cooperation, and write the new chapter of Tanzania-China comprehensive and cooperative partnership featuring mutual benefit and win-win outcome.
